Abstract: The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is an institution aiming to improve the training of creative and distinguished postgraduates and enhance the development of China’s higher education. Over the past several years, CSC has sponsored many talented Chinese students for overseas study. From January 2021 to January 2022, Mr.Shuowen Zhang was sponsored by CSC to perform research work at the Mechanics of Material Laboratory (MAMEL) in the Department of Material Science and Engineering at Seoul National University (SNU) as a visiting Ph.D. student, supervised by Prof. Myoung-Gyu Lee. In this presentation, a brief introduction of MAMEL and SNU will be given. A report about the research work on the simulation of Viscoplastic Self-Consistent Model will also be made. Besides, the living and cultural experience in South Korea will also be presented.
